March 2020 LCBA General Meeting Cancelled

Hello Neighbor:

Out of an abundance of caution and given the large number of senior citizens who participate in monthly meetings, it was decided that the Lincoln Civic Block Association meeting scheduled for this Thursday, March 19, 2020 should be canceled.

We don't take this action lightly. We recognized the need to keep our neighborhood and neighbors safe and understand that all of us need to take appropriate action, responsible action to ensure, that we do not knowingly, or unknowingly expose someone to the COVID-19 virus. The World Health Organization has officially declared the Coronavirus a pandemic. We will do our part to comply with CDC (Center of Disease Control) guidelines as well as other guidance offered by governmental officials.

Please be on the lookout for additional information, which will come either from elected officials or other reliable sources. Our plan is to proceed in stages and The Executive Board of the Lincoln Civic Block Association will meet again, in the next few weeks in order to assess and determine our next steps.

In the meantime, we are creating a program, spearheaded by Leah which is geared to specifically help those individuals who cannot, or will not go out to take care or errands and other task, because their immune system may be compromised.

If you are interested in helping Leah and Rachel with this effort, sign up on the attached sheet. If you know someone who needs help… let us know.
